Welcome to the inside view of my two month journey in South Africa!

I’m currently a graduate student at LU, and apart of my degree requirement is to complete a practicum. For my site I chose St. Lucia, South Africa. God has really been telling me that it is time to get out of my comfort zone so as soon as the opportunity was revealed I jumped at the chance!

Isaiah 6:8 says “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Here I will not only get the chance to promote HIV/AIDS awareness in the rural villages of the country, but I will also get to share the Gospel of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

  6. Enjoy your trip to the motherland. Soak up the experience. Our ancestors left this continent in slave ships and you are returning in a jumbo jet! God has a special purpose just for you.   14. Time keeps passing and I keep hoping you know how much I love you, how proud I am of you, how exceptional I feel you are and how much you inspire me. But I feel like we’ve gotten sooooo old since high school and I realize you you may not know unless I tell you. So SJH, you are perfect to me. And when I think, “Summer is going to South Africa.” I say “of course she is!” I wouldn’t expect anything less because I know your dreams and I know you. I have always see perfection when it comes to your dreams. I pray you embrace the entire experience and have fun during the journey. You deserve every blessing in your path and I pray God continues to fill your life with abundance; abundant relationships and experiences! He is with you this entire journey and forever.   17. Hey Baby girl, you are doing fantastic with the blog…however some of the pictures are not coming out when you include them on the line with your sentences?? i.e. pictures of the baby you are holding, common area, and many others etc. Be sure to save them on your flash drive if you have one.

    We are so proud of you and all of your accomplishments. You have truly been a blessing to us. We miss you already at CHBC. I know the kids miss you in the Nursery also. Deacon Younger says don’t forget your Sunday School teacher. He is so proud of you and all that you are doing as well. Enjoy your trip of a lifetime and remember to put God first in all that you do. I am certain that someone will be touched by your presence. We love you!
